Thu, 07 Jun 2007 - I am sending you a few 'teaser' photos of Lansing. The first is actually Lawton and Lansing taken last Tuesday at our final club meeting. Lansing is considerably bigger as he has been for some time. He was the biggest puppy in our large group since he was about 8 months. I am a teacher and he has been with me every day. So there have been about a thousand 'co-raisers' as he is loved by all the kids. Our high school graduation was last weekend and of course Lansing walked with the faculty procession and if you can see the gold tassel in this picture, it's because he was an honor student. Amazingly, I have never put a gentle leader on him; he's never needed it because he is so willing and eager to please. I can't think of anything but medical reasons that would keep him from being a guide, so it makes this weekend all the more difficult, yet hopeful. I know you understand the conflicting emotions.

Wed, 06 Jun 2007 - Hi there - I have been the puppy raiser for Lansing, Alda's puppy with Russo. I thought you might like to know that his and Lawton [also raised in Alameda County group] have their recall date this weekend, June 9-10. He has been the sweetest and most gentle [I call him my gentle giant because he is so big and tall] of the 6 puppies I have raised. As I am preparing his puppy book with pictures and all, I was wondering if you might like to see some of those pictures. I will be doing a book through shutterfly.com and can include you in the email if you like. Thanks also for all of the information on Alda and the breeding process. It really helped me because my last puppy, Carmen, was selected as a breeder and she is due to go back to whelp, coincidentally, this weekend with Lansing. Thanks again and I hope to hear from you soon.
