April 1, 2008 - Carol from Dogs4Diabetics writes, "Marla recently arrived in our program and due to a change in the physical location of our facility we have not started her into formal training. She is currently residing with her new foster home in Martinez, CA and accompanying one of her two humans to work daily until we resume training on 4/14. I will forward your information to our volunteer that will try and send brief updates on her progress as she moves through our program."
March 15, 2008 - Bev writes, "Marla was career changed this week due to a soft trachea. However, the good news is she gets to be part of that wonderful new program, Dogs for Diabetics. She was at GDB today, so I spent some time with her. What a sweet, mellow dog. As I was petting her, she leaned right into me. It appears that this is one who missed out on the jumping lessons when Alda was giving them. She is scheduled to be moved to D4D this week to start her training there."
