Alda and her pups have moved from the pool to lying on the floor with shredded newspaper. Alda doesn't have a way to escape the pups, but now they can nurse from her all the time, so the competition to get to her is less. They are also more active, walking instead of scooting on their belly like a seal.
They have begun eating dog food that has been soaked in water which turns into a slurry mush. They are beginning to get their teeth and play with each other. The Puppy Socializers continue to visit a couple times a week. The pups weigh about 7 pounds.
Next week, Alda begins spending more and more time away from the pups.
